St. Francis Xavier Catholic High School in Hammond, Ontario, is a charming Catholic high school nestled in the serene countryside of Hammond. Our primary aim at St. Francis Xavier is to foster the holistic development of our students, providing them with a comprehensive education rooted in the Catholic faith.

The teachings of Christ, as revealed in the gospels, serve as our guiding light, shaping every action we take as a community. We strive for consistency between our actions and these teachings, demonstrating our unwavering commitment to living out our faith.

Our esteemed faculty members fully recognize and embrace their responsibility to offer diverse opportunities for the physical, social, emotional, intellectual, and spiritual growth of each student. Aligned with the principles of the gospel, we seek to cultivate a sense of responsibility and dedication to the welfare of others and our shared global environment within both ourselves and our students.

While our school relies on its physical infrastructure and facilities to function, the true essence of St. Francis Xavier lies within its students, staff, parents, pastors, and Board personnel. It is the collective actions and character of these contributing members that define our school. To achieve lasting success, each of us must continually strive to uphold and enhance these defining qualities.

On a day-to-day basis, our school's character primarily manifests through the conduct and interactions between staff and students as they fulfill their respective duties. As a relatively close-knit community, it becomes necessary to establish guidelines for expected behavior. These guidelines serve the purpose of creating a harmonious environment that fosters the attainment of our core objectives.

Compliance with and adherence to these guidelines inherently requires discipline. It is our aspiration that each individual acquires the self-discipline necessary to uphold these standards. However, in the event that a member of our community experiences challenges in this area, we will take necessary progressive discipline strategies to support each student. It is important to note that these progressive discipline strategies are not implemented with a punitive intention, but rather to safeguard the well-being of the entire community. Moreover, they serve as a catalyst for personal growth, fostering self-discipline, and ultimately, facilitating the attainment of reconciliation among individuals.
